IM Properties is working on the construction of Peddimore – putting in place the infrastructure needed for the whole Peddimore development and developing buildings on 37 hectares of the 71-hectare site.

Our appointed contractor, Winvic Construction, started work in July 2021. The first phase of works involves creating the site’s infrastructure, including a new roundabout on the A38, spine roads, earthworks, landscaping, footpaths and cycleways.

This is an important first part of the project and creating a high-quality employment park that is set to become one of the region’s most important employment and economic locations.

Work on the first buildings at Peddimore is also getting underway, with an increasing range of activity on site.

Work is initially starting on Unit B, located on the right hand side as you enter the site from the new access road on the A38, which will be a high-quality facility that has been designed to meet its occupier’s specific requirements.

Beginning from week commencing 16 May, a 12-week programme of piling is building the foundations for Unit B.

Originally due to be completed in August, the programme is currently running ahead of schedule and, subject to weather conditions, is now scheduled to finish in mid-July.

Although the piling activity hasn’t been carried out to date at weekends, to keep to this schedule a small amount of work will need to be undertaken by a single rig on Saturday, 2 July, between the hours 8.00am and 1.00pm (in line with the project’s planning consent).
