The Peddimore development will create opportunities for skills and employment.
We are supporting the Government’s Industrial Strategy for construction and the built environment and the West Midlands Combined Authority’s call for closer ties between educators and trainers and local businesses.
We are working strategically with key partners across the area – sharing intelligence and delivering priorities, this will help to align training programmes and college courses to real-work and growth opportunities.
Our chosen contractors and their supply chains will work with us to connect unemployed residents and job-seeking students to skills programmes and job opportunities. We will encourage the creation of apprenticeship opportunities, work placements and work experience opportunities so that young people and underrepresented groups can be given the chance to shine.
Local organisations and our community partners are being consulted about how best to achieve these ambitions and we will continue to share information about how you can connect to these opportunities as the development progresses.
