The Peddimore development will create opportunities for skills and employment.

We are supporting the Government’s Industrial Strategy for construction and the built environment and the West Midlands Combined Authority’s call for closer ties between educators and trainers and local businesses.

We are working strategically with key partners across the area – including the Commonwealth Games and HS2 – to share intelligence, deliver priorities, and align training programmes and college courses to real-world and growth opportunities. At Peddimore, we are also providing Construction Training and encouraging site visits for learners, enabling people to understand the roles, trades and opportunities at the construction phase of developments.

Traffic Management Courses – October 2022

Our chosen contractors and their supply chains will work with us to connect unemployed residents and job-seeking students to skills programmes and job opportunities. We will encourage the creation of apprenticeship opportunities, work placements and work experience opportunities so that young people and underrepresented groups can be given the chance to shine.
