Electricity infrastructure works for Peddimore
Separate to construction work on site, contractors, Matrix Networks – a leading accredited independent connections provider – will be carrying out a programme of utility works to install new electricity infrastructure to power the Peddimore site.
This involves installing a new underground electricity cable from the site through the Minworth estate, around the Minworth Island roundabout, south along Kingsbury Road and turning left after the railway bridge to a connection point on Park Lane in Castle Vale.
Further details about the route and approximate phasing of these works are detailed on the map below.
Please note that these timings are subject to possible change. We’ll be keeping the information up to date on our Utility Works page as the work progresses.
Minimising Disruption
These phased works will be carried out between approximately 8:00am – 5:00pm, and their impact will be localised and temporary. Most of the work will take place in verges or under sections of temporary road lane closures. Some of the sections will be managed by temporary traffic lights while work is taking place.
Weekend working
Two phases of work will be carried out at weekends only, to reduce disruption on the local road network. Work on Kingsbury Road to the south of Midpoint Boulevard between the railway bridge and Wagtail Walk/Park Lane will take place on 4-5 March and 11-12 March. Activity on the south side of the Minworth Island will take place on 18-19 March and 25-26 March.
